But some selfish ppl in camp just dun wanna help. And with the changing of the whole system which we use to transact ammo issues/returns etc, there's been lots and lots of kok-ups and problems and loose ends, some of which are left from a long time ago even before I stepped foot into PLAD... and we the current batch of servicemen who are here for the camp in this moment of transition, have to bear the full brunt of this painful switching over.
I tried to make myself work as hard and as best as I can for the camp. To be the best I can be, to do the best I can. In fact I am juggling two positions now... I am really trying. But the recent developments seem to be diluting my passion to strive hard for the camp. I just feel like quiting. But I can't because I am obligated to "serve my nation".
Just really weary and exhausted lately. Physically very much so too, cuz I started like attending PT sessions in my camp in the mornings. They have it almost every morning for the IPPT eligible NSFs who failed... but not compulsory for those otherwise. Being in PES C2 makes me uneligible for IPPT but I try to attend 2 sessions a week. And of course having not exercised for quite some time the PT has proven to be quite strenuous for me, causing me muscle aches and all... and with not getting enough rest on guard duty days (from as little as fewer than 3 hours) u can only imagine the amount of stress both physical and mental I am experiencing.
I am just glad that God is by my side, and his angels in the form of my frens too... I really don't know how I would have survived this ordeal. In fact maybe not survived yet. I expect more problems to crop up in the following months due to the switching of the system...
Enough of the negativity which can really drown someone. Just wanted to thank my frens for the wonderful weekend I had last week. I went to celebrate woon's and re's bday. Too bad zing couldn't join us... But we still had a ball of a time. We went to have lunch at Crystal Jade TP and Ner and I decided to surprise woon and re with a cake, so we met up earlier to buy a cake and asking the CJ staff to keep it for us... Then halfway thru the meal we "went to the toilet" and voila brought out the cake. Haha. First time I'm doing this for someone actually... quite nice to see that they were quite presently surprised.
Then after that I went to Marina Square to celebrate kp and ray's birthdays. Ok I was quite late la cuz I left the gathering at TP later than expected. But we still had a superb time too. We raced daytona (tho there was this extra couple who would always 'accidentally' join in our game) and of course I won them all muhahahaha! (except for that extra guy... sianz :S)
Then we went to bowl where the power-sucking lizard spirit kept winning! Dang it. And he was still spewing disclaimers at the start of the game haha. We had so much fun laughing at ourselves, at the ppl in the neighbouring lane (when they dropped the ball and it rolled the opposite way instead) and just simply egging ang teasing each other lah. The 4 of us haven't really had such moments for some tme liao.
Then after a nice posh dinner at Swensen's we went to watch V for Vendetta. A rather interesting movie. Very different from typical blockbusters. Watch it if you like alternative movies. Then it was 12 midnight by the time we finished the movie. So we shared a cab home and were chatting and all... I lurve u guys so much man!!! Thanks for a wonderful evening...
Sunday I woke up late... haven't slept in for such a long time liao haha... what a luxury. Then went to sing K at Party World Crown Prince. Dang. Even with a 4 hrs free voucher we still ended up paying $17 each. Same lor. What money rippers. Dang party world man... And they only had 2 mikes per room... WTH?!
Monday evening was fun too... Went to have dinner with LS and Jun Ming from my camp... then pool after that... of course JM was a pro cuz he even had like personalised cue stick and gloves and triangle and all... but he's rich mah... Yup.
Really feel like I'm beginning to have a life out of NS. It's a good feeling tho I know now that tuition is starting again that such fun times wouldn't be so many and near (opposite of few and far between haha...)
I'm gonna enjoy my day and not let any thoughts of possible recall and all that shyt get to me. NS sucks! My life rocks!
Sometimes we don't really meet up very often with some frens. Maybe only once every few months or so... But they could frens u keep with u for life. Ppl to share ur joys, sorrows. ppl who take a genuine interest in u, ur interests, life, frens, happenings. Ppl whom you noe will be there for u. Ppl just a msn message or a phone call away. Thanks for being these special frens for me.
